It is Internal & NOT External!
54Kurds need to deal with Internal issues rather than external interlopers
Since 1991, Kurds in Kurdistan Region, have not yet proved for the rest of the world the power of self-ruling successfully. What we need to deal with is rather internal issues than external interlopers. Take it for instance, USA is the most powerful country in the world, but yet it faces Alien Groups, which are constantly trying to destabilize their stabilized country!
So as the saying goes " the enemy of my enemy, is my friend" Let's talk about Turkey and their Atatürk for instance. He was very successful in assembling people from different classes, nationalities, and political parties. and he promised them Ranks, federal states, and properties. But what happened on the ground, was important for him. after his success, he send all revolutionaries home, with pension and properties, but neither with federal states, nor with important ranks! what was the point? on this stage he needed highly educated and intellectual mentalities to define this success, and make it stand for the long term and not short term.
After twenty years, those Peshmarga, who were once irresistible and outstanding forces in Kurdistan region, have not yet been defined in Kurdistan region and Iraq. why is that!
If nowadays, and not by chance, but intentionally our neighbors attack Kurdistan borders, or even Kurds themselves. Why should Kurds behave as if it is something new for them, waw it is terrible ... such barbaric attacks, we don't have any one to defend us...etc.
Kurds, on the first place need to prove their sovereignty in the region. and i think our only chance is Kurdistan region. Kurds should stop begging UN, US, UK, EU...etc. i am not saying forget about them, NO. But PROVE the existence of something good and positive. Then this way i think, they will change the image which they have got about Kurds in the past as well.
